Proof of work - 15th January 2013

I have been looking at other artists logo's today and found out that they mostly all have capital letters for the font! This made me think that I might rule out my last choice of font as these all are a success and I want to follow the conventions to achieve success.
The Arctic Monkeys and The Script both do a similar thing with the letter 'I' with making all of the other letters capitals except that one. This is similar to the top design that I liked.
I also noticed that Coldplay, The Script and All Time Low had their font in the colour black and I think that this very effective so I think that when I do my font for final I might keep it black.
When I asked my target audience which font they felt suited this band the most, they told me that they felt the first font did.

I then experimented with different backgrounds that I could have behind my logo. The black to grey was very popular in other artists logos so I tried this, as well was the plain grey. The brick idea was another option as I felt it matched our music video and theme well, following the idea of outside.

When I showed my target audience these three different logo ideas, the majority of them told me that they preferred the one written on the brick wall.

I changed some of the colour correction on the shots of our music video. I made the performance shots look more green/brown. They looked a lot more professional this way and I felt that this gave us more of a colour scheme and a outside feel that I could match the website and digipak with.
